Step 1

Inquiry

Before making your inquiry and contacting us, make sure you understand the program's expectations for finding a mentor.

Youth must be between the ages of 5 and 21 and willing to commit to the program for one year (minimum one-year, however, most friendships last much longer).

You must also do the following:

  • Complete the Youth Application Process

  • Meet consistently with your mentor for at least 12 months.

  • For program success, guardian participation is expected.

  • The mentoring program is a non-therapeutic relationship

Step 2

Application

Community Organization or School

Click on the following link for a mini application.  We will ask the basic questions and follow up with the guardian and youth to gather additional information.

Parent or Guardian

Fill out the following application.

Step 3

Training

To find the best matches for your youth, we use a series of meetings with you and your youth to

  • give you information about mentoring,

  • to cover program expectations, and

  • identify who would make a great mentor for your youth.

Step 4

Matching

We use an extensive matching process to make great matches. We match based on an array of factors including, location, personality, and similar interests.
